Dear God,
You're getting ready for your death. This is so ridiculous! I love you.
Love,
Me
So Matthew and Mark: Home of Simon the Leper, some random lady wastes amazing amount of money and perfume on Jesus. How lovely and beautiful that was! The disciples were indignant, thinking about the poor and how much good that could have done. But Jesus defended her. (w007 Jesus!)
Interesting: John says that Lazarus, Martha, and Mary were throwing the party, and Mary was the one who did it. She would, that's so like her. (May that be said of me someday!) And Judas is the one condemning it because he loves money so much.
P.S. So I'd just like to say: Some people may freak out because it says that Simon the Leper was throwing the party, but then Lazarus and his sisters were--that's a grave contradiction!
I don't think so. It says the home of Simon the Leper, but Lazarus and co. were giving the dinner. So they could have arranged for the dinner at Simon's house, but they served. Anyway, it's irrelevant.
